Accessing your template (Etsy Customers)
Hello! Thank you for your purchase from The Printed Smile Etsy shop! Here, you will find a step-by-step guide to accessing your template!

Option 1: Email Receipt from Etsy
Find your email purchase confirmation email from Etsy. Etsy sends this email immediately after your purchase is confirmed (usually takes just a minute or two). Check your spam folder if you cannot find it.
The subject line will read "Download your Etsy purchase from ThePrintedSmile". Click this email, and then "view your files on Etsy" OR the order confirmation number.
Make sure you're logged in, and you will see the option to download your PDFs.
***IMPORTANT: You cannot access digital files through the Etsy App. Make sure you are using a computer or Safari/Chrome on your phone***
The PDF "link to template and instructions" or "Link to your template" will bring you to Canva to make edits to your template. The PDF "Ready to print" or "Handwrite on this copy" is a PDF you can NOT edit- this item is for printing as is and handwriting on. We recommend printing on cardstock paper for a more "authentic" feel!
Option 2: In your Etsy Account
Log into your Etsy account, click the profile picture icon in the upper right-hand corner, and then select "purchases and reviews".
***IMPORTANT: You cannot access digital files through the Etsy App. Make sure you are using a computer or Safari/Chrome on your phone***
Here, you will see the option to download your PDFs.
The PDF "link to template and instructions" or "link to your template" will bring you to Canva to make edits to your template. The PDF "Ready to print" or "Handwrite on this copy" is a PDF you can NOT edit- this item is for printing as is and handwriting on. We recommend printing on cardstock paper for a more "authentic" feel!
Did you Sign into Etsy as a Guest when making your Purchase?
Because you signed in as a guest, you will not have an Etsy account, and therefore can't access your template through option 2 above.
Instead, follow option 1 above. Check your email for a purchase confirmation from Etsy with the subject line "Download your Etsy Purchase from ThePrintedSmile". Etsy sends this email immediately after your purchase is confirmed (usually takes just a minute or two). Check your spam folder if you cannot find it.
The email will have direct links to your PDF to download right to your computer.
The PDF "link to template and instructions" or "Link to your template" will bring you to Canva to make edits to your template. The PDF "Ready to print" or "Handwrite on this copy" is a PDF you can NOT edit- this item is for printing as is and handwriting on. We recommend printing on cardstock paper for a more "authentic" feel!
Being prompted to request access?
This is an error that sometimes unexpectedly happens in Canva. Try refreshing or restarting your browser and try clicking the link again. Also, make sure you are logged into your Canva account.
If this doesn't work, SEND A DIRECT MESSAGE through Etsy. Do not just click the request access button and wait. I will send you a new link through the Etsy chat ASAP.
Please note that The Printed Smile is not responsible for technical issues in Canva. If you are under a time crunch and cannot wait for the new link or for Canva to work properly for you, use the "hand write on this copy" version provided with your purchase.
